يستعرض البحث السمات الأساسية لفني الرسم والتصوير الحجريين في الفترة التي سبقت ظهور رسوم الأواني الفخارية في النصف الثاني من العصر الحجري الحديث، إذ يعنى البحث بتقصي الساحة الفنية وعلاقتها بالمعتقدات الدينية لزُمر الصيد والالتقاط ومن بعدهم زمر الرعاة، قبل تبني المصريين نمط حياة قائم على الزراعة والاستقرار الدائم.
The research is focused on examining the fundamental characteristics of the Egyptian cave painting and petroglyphs at the time before decorative pottery first appeared in the second part of the Neolithic period. Before the Egyptians developed a way of life centered on agriculture and long-term stability, the research was interested in examining the art scene and its relationship to the religious beliefs of hunter-gatherer people, followed by pastoralist peoples.
